fly by midnight

This was one of my favorite projects—a conceptual album cover and t-shirt design for Fictional Illustrations by Fly by Midnight. The album explores different stages of love, from young romance to heartbreak, which I illustrated through hand-cut 6”x6” collages that were scanned to retain texture and add depth.

The layered, vibrant design reflects the album’s emotional intensity. Two stars on the front and back symbolize love and separation, inspired by the lyric “under the stars is when I’m over the moon.” Visual references to other tracks—like portals (Infinitely Falling), lightning bolts (Lightning in a Bottle), and repeated elements (Different Lives)—bring the music to life.
